A first-class workplace and catering with a beautiful view over the Panorama terrace
Today the doors of the new Spaces Lounge and the adjoining Panorama Restaurant open on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Spaces – part of International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest provider of flexible offices – now offers flexible workplaces and meeting rooms above Departure Hall 1 at Schiphol in collaboration with HMSHost Nederland – market leader in catering at airports, stations and shopping centres. The new Panorama Restaurant offers an extensive range of catering options and is adjacent to the Spaces Lounge and the Panorama terrace. Both locations are in a public area, which means that it does not matter whether visitors fly or not.
Every traveler, regardless of a Spaces membership, can use the work location for a fee. A business traveler on the road, a freelancer, or a group of colleagues looking for an office space or meeting room near the departure hall. Spaces contains six fully equipped rooms with workplaces for more than a hundred professionals and four different meeting rooms. HMSHost Nederland provides a varied catering offer in the Lounge and in the Panorama Restaurant.
Spaces Lounge is great for transferring passengers who have to wait for long periods of time. They can use the space to, for example, meet with their teams and make optimal use of their time at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Flexible workplaces at airports and stations offer a solution to the growing demand from customers who want to work close to where they live and live. They also want access to professional facilities when they are on the road. This new lounge at Schiphol is part of our plan to open at least new flexible offices in the Netherlands over the next five years.
Gavin Phillips, Regional Vice President , IWG Benelux
With the return of business travelers, we saw the demand for airport facilities change . Together with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and IWG, we have found a great way to offer travelers on the road meeting and workplaces in order to use their valuable time as efficiently as possible. As a result, the Spaces Lounge and the Panorama Restaurant offer an accessible meeting place for travelers and guests visiting the airport.
Sytze van der Aa, Regional Managing Director HMSHost Europe
We are extremely proud to open both locations that focus on different target audiences. Flexible office space at the airport enables professionals to be more productive wherever they are. Whether it concerns a local office or the optimal use of waiting or transfer time for a business trip. The adjoining Panorama Restaurant is a fantastic addition with the vision to also provide a space for business travelers and individuals to meet. But definitely also a place where families and plane spotters can relax and enjoy the view over the Panorama Terrace on the runways and departing and arriving aircraft.
Arthur Reijnhart, Commercial Director at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
