Holiday vibes: can we take a look inside your motorhome or caravan?

It’s summer holidays and that means that a lot of residents exchange their homes for a campsite. But where do they reside? Is that a tent, a caravan or a motorhome?

One thing is certain: there are now many more residents who own a motorhome than at the beginning of the year 2020. Compared to the period just before the corona pandemic, the number of campers has increased by 26 percent throughout the Netherlands. This is evident from an analysis by the ANP based on data from the RDW and Statistics Netherlands (CBS).

The number of camper owners has increased in all municipalities. In The Hague this is an increase of 26,9 percent. That means that last June 2020 campers were registered in our city. At the beginning 2020 there were still 2020. Apart from campers, caravans are also still popular in the Netherlands and there are such 399. caravans registered.
