A few weeks ago we asked our Facebook and Instagram followers the question: “What do you like so much living in The Hague?” This received a lot of reactions and we share them with you in this article. Below you can read five reasons why living in The Hague is so nice.
The beach
After work, take a walk on the beach or eat a fish in Scheveningen: it sounds like the most normal thing in the world , but it is still quite special. Many people from the Netherlands have to travel for hours to get close to a beach, while residents of The Hague have their feet in the sand in no time. For indebuurt follower Julieta Peláez, this is also a reason why she likes living in The Hague so much. Saskia van Zanen also likes the beach, but only when it is a bit quieter.

The buildings
The Gevangenpoort and Paleis Noordeinde are examples of beautiful buildings in The Hague. Tourists can look at it for hours, while you probably walk past it every day and don’t look at it anymore. Nevertheless, it is worth reflecting on the beautiful architecture in our city. Indebuurt follower Korrie Tuk thinks the sights are a nice factor in The Hague and we agree!

Multicultural
Another great thing about The Hague, according to indebuurt follower Mandy de Visser, is that our city is multicultural. Everyone lives together in respect with each other and that gives a nice feeling. Whatever origin you have, you will feel welcome in The Hague. Mosques, synagogues and churches: you will find them all in The Hague. There are also many restaurants with food from different cultures. You have Turkish, Asian, Chinese, Dutch and many more restaurants.

One resident of The Hague talks a bit flatter than the other, but we all have one thing in common: we are nice and direct. Not everyone can appreciate this, but we residents of The Hague are just like that. Why beat around the bush when you can say it right away? Indebuurt follower collectingmomentswithclara therefore likes the immediacy of living in The Hague.
Indebuurt follower Linda Keijzer loves the green in our city. You can walk in many different places. For example, you have Madestein. Meijendel, Ockenburgh and the Westduinpark. In many nature reserves you can find different types of game, so you really have the feeling that you have escaped the busy city for a while.
