Summary

Employees at Schiphol-East can use new shared bicycles free of charge from today. In collaboration with Hely, Schiphol is launching a new bicycle-sharing program with 150 shared bicycles that are available in five central bicycle parking facilities. Schiphol encourages the use of bicycles as a sustainable and healthy means of transport and encourages employees to use bicycles for short distances at the airport.

The new shared bikes are ideal for quickly going to an appointment in another building, getting a sandwich during lunch or for traveling further from the bus stop. We hope that many employees will make frequent use of the bicycles as an alternative to the car. This contributes to our goal of making traffic to, from and at the airport more sustainable.
