Rose Competition Westbroekpark
And the winner is… Saturday 1 July is the International Rose Competition. During this free event, the best smelling, the most beautiful according to the public and the most beautiful according to the jury will be chosen from more than fifty rose varieties. Several times a year, the roses in Westbroekpark are inspected for colour, foliage and growth habit. Saturday is the last inspection where the official prizes are handed out.

The Hague Contemporary Art Weekend
Attention art lovers! By 30 June to July 2nd is The Hague Contemporary Art Weekend. This is a free event at which twenty museums, galleries, artists’ initiatives and art spaces open their doors. There are special openings, performances and tours. The weekend is dedicated to contemporary art and it is accessible to everyone. For example, all locations are wheelchair-friendly and you can walk or cycle to them.

Zeeheldenfestival
The annual neighborhood party of the Zeeheldenkwartier is coming up. By 27 June to July 2, the roof is going to go off in the neighborhood. Five days of music, street theatre, theatre, snacks and drinks. Different music genres are featured at the event. From the Pyrates with rock to Liquid Sun Orchestra with jazz, reggae and soul. There will also be a performance by dance school Wesseling and a mask making workshop for children.

Art route Benoordenhout
Always wanted to take a look inside The Hague studios? This is possible on 1 and 2 July during the free art route Benoordenhout. Sixty artists from this district put these days between 14.00 hours and 17.00 hours their studios are open for visits. In addition to looking inside, musicians Francien Hommes and Diderik Wagenaar will also give various piano concerts.

KLM Urban Trail
Run through (a few of) the most beautiful buildings in The Hague: it’s possible during the KLM Urban Trail on 2 July . During this running route you literally go off the beaten track. For example, during the KLM Urban Trail you run straight through the Louis Couperus Museum in The Hague. You can choose from a five or ten kilometer route. You don’t have to run this route, just walking at ease is also allowed!

The Hague Boat – Gin Tonic Tour

Art & Music festival
Be surprised by young talented musicians, graduated from the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag during the Kunst & Muziek on 2 July. The audience plays an important role during the concert.
