The municipality is making funds available to improve Ypenburg in the area of culture and social interaction. Everybody living in Ypenburg who is 12 years or older is allowed to submit an idea. Submit your idea before 6 July 2023. Afterwards residents can vote for their favourite idea.
The municipality will decide which ideas are feasible. Afterwards the residents of Ypenburg will divide the money among the feasible plans for the neighbourhood. All ideas which bring more culture and social interaction to Ypenburg are welcome. Even small and inexpensive ideas.
Meeting on Saturday, 10 June 2023Come to the kick-off meeting on Saturday, 10 June 2023 from 13.00 to 16.00 hrs. in the Ypenburg shopping centre, close to the library. Employees from the Leidschenveen-Ypenburg district will be happy to discuss your ideas with you.
How it worksYou submit your idea by 5 July 2023. You can submit your idea on the website www.wijkbudgetypenburg.denhaag.nl.
It is also possible to submit an idea in writing. There are special postcards for this purpose. You can pick up a postcard at the Piet Vink neighbourhood centre, De Yp community centre and the Ypenburg library. Fill in the postcard and place it in the special neighbourhood budget letterbox. The letterbox can be found in De Yp community centre and the Ypenburg library until 5 July 2023.
The neighbourhood votesResidents of the Ypenburg neighbourhood have until 12 July 2023 to vote for their favourite idea. It is up to you to drum up votes (likes) for your idea. If an idea has at least 25 likes, it will proceed to the next round. During this round the municipality will examine whether the ideas are feasible. In September the municipality will publish all of the feasible ideas on the website wijkbudgetypenburg.denhaag.nl.
The municipality will work together with the residents to turn the ideas which are feasible into a plan. This will happen during a meeting. Afterwards you decide together with the people in your neighbourhood which plans will go ahead. The residents and municipality will carry out the plans which get the most votes. The plans will be realised within 1 year.
