The fireworks festival at Scheveningen will also be canceled this summer

The 022th edition of the Fireworks Festival at Scheveningen cannot take place for the fifth time. In 2018 was the last show at Scheveningen. Due to corona, crowds and bad weather , that big jubilee edition could not be held time and time again. It seemed to finally turn out well this year, but two months before the festival starts, it is still cancelled.

Today we received this message: ‘The organization of the international fireworks festival at Scheveningen has decided today that unfortunately the festival cannot take place this summer. The event, which is being given a new spectacular look, is suffering greatly from the economic climate.’

Too few sponsors

The reason the party is canceled for the fifth time? ‘The enormous cost increases coupled with a very difficult sponsorship market make an edition in 2023 unfortunately not feasible.’ according to the organization.

Next year then?

Whether that jubilee edition will ever be come, the question remains. The organization has already started the application procedures for next year. The intention is to provide a large fireworks festival in August 200. .
