What would you like to see if you could view The Hague from the past? Are you going back a hundred years in time or even further? Building a time machine is not yet possible, but during the National Archeology Days you can still take a look at The Hague in the past.

From 16 up to and including 18 June everyone can get acquainted with archeology in the Netherlands. This is the time to discover what is or was hidden in the soil of The Hague and the surrounding area. Stories from the past come to life in this way, the organization reports. They say: “From shards workshop to excavation day, from archaeological bike ride to dressing up and theater performance or simply with an interesting lecture; it will all pass.”

National Archeology Days in The Hague

In The Hague, during the National Archeology Days you can visit the archaeo walk in the center of The Hague or the theater walk. It is possible that more activities will be added in and around The Hague, because the program is not yet complete. On this website you will find all activities throughout the Netherlands. The complete program will be online from 9 June.

Bringing the past to life

Finally, the organization says: “The days bring the bring the past to life, tell the story of the past and are a unique opportunity to take a look at what is and was hidden in the Dutch soil.” Who knows, you might get to know a completely different side of The Hague!
