Royal Schiphol Group, Jobsrepublic, Recruitment-Builders BV and the security companies at the airport have won the Werf& Award in the Recruitment category. The professional jury chose the Schiphol case as the winner from the last nominees.

After the Corona pandemic, the number of travelers at Schiphol increased enormously. The workforce had to be supplemented very quickly in the very tight labor market. The shortage of security guards caused far too long queues, especially at the security check.

The shortage of security guards in combination with the enormous shortage on the labor market demanded a special, innovative recruitment campaign. At the initiative of Royal Schiphol Group and in a unique collaboration with the security partners working at Schiphol (CTSN, Securitas, Trigion, G4S, I-SEC), Jobsrepublic and Recruitment Builders were asked to develop a new recruitment strategy for the temporary project with the aim of the aim was to recruit new security guards before the summer 850. That goal was met well ahead of the June 1 deadline. More than 850 new ‘hires’ have been realized that pass the screening, have started the training or are already working at the security check. These new colleagues helped ensure a smooth May holiday with queues of, in general, only a few minutes.
