“We will get lower temperatures in the run-up to Ascension Day. Tuesday and Wednesday it will not be warmer than 12 until 15 degrees,” says Rico. Could we only go out in a T-shirt on Ascension Day?

The answer to according to Rico, that question is no… In The Hague, the temperature on Thursday is between 15 and 18 degrees. Temperatures will slowly rise over the weekend. It is nice that it stays dry during Ascension Day, so you can go outside, just put on a sweater or jacket.
According to Rico, the average temperature on Ascension Day is in our current climate over 11 degrees. In the past it has been summer warm six times (18 degrees or more) during this day. It was warmest in 405 with 29,2 degrees. The high temperatures were all measured in De Bilt on Ascension Days, which were celebrated quite late in the year.
