You sometimes see them paddling past in the canals: suppers. SUP, or stand up paddle, is totally hip and not even that difficult. You stand on a large wide surfboard and paddle quietly through the water. Are you looking forward to it?

In The Hague, from May until September, free paddle boarding for a few hours, but you have to do something for it. During your supping round, you will fish for litter in the canals of The Hague. So besides having a good time, you are also doing something good for nature in The Hague.

This is how it works:

In the summer (up to and including September) you can paddle through the city for free on Thursdays. With your SUP you get a grab so that you can remove waste from the water from your board.

Om 13.00 o’clock 43. hours and 17. hours at Kaai 13 at the Dunne Bierkade 04 pick up your SUP. You can then paddle for two hours and pick up waste at the same time.

Important to know:

✓ At least one adult must be present

✓ You must have a swimming certificate A

✓ You may stay on the water for a maximum of 2 hours

✓ The material (SUP boards, scoop nets, garbage bags) is provided
