What is your secret place in The Hague to grab a bite to eat?
“The first place we like to come for a datenight is Tapisco. Here you will find a combination of Spanish tapas and Portuguese ‘petiscos’. Small snacks that have also received a Bib-Gourmand award. Here it really feels like you are in Spain or Portugal for a while. Tip: book a bar table!

What is your secret drink spot in The Hague?
“We really think The Hague is a fun city, there is plenty to do! In winter, the Oude Molstraat is always good. Here the cafes are overcrowded and everyone is pleasantly out on the street. In the summer, the Dunne Bierkade is the place to be. It doesn’t matter where you sit here, because everywhere you can enjoy a drink by the water.”

What is your ultimate tip for a hidden spot in The Hague?
“Our hidden spot in The Hague is the Nutstuin, in the middle in the city and located behind the stately Nutshuis. The garden is not directly visible, which makes it a beautiful and undiscovered place. You arrive here in an oasis of peace where you can escape the hustle and bustle for a while. In addition, The Hague is known for its many unique and hidden courtyards.”

Where do you go to relax?
“We love to find peace in nature and recharge here. We like to visit the Westduinpark and Oostduinpark. The Oostduinpark is a little less known but just as nice. Here you will find beautiful dune paths with a view of the beach. That is why we think the combination of city and beach is so beautiful about The Hague. You have the hustle and bustle of the city, and then you can get a breath of fresh air on the beach. Our favorite moment is definitely the sunset after a long day at work or the sunrise on an early Sunday morning. This gives peace and a lot of inspiration.”

Which pearl do you go to to soak up some culture?
“The Hague is rich in Indonesian history. We also both have Indian roots, so we like to go to the Sophiahof museum. Museum Sophiahof depicts the cultural and historical legacy of the Dutch East Indies and is a great place for us to come with family and thus start a conversation about our roots.
We also think the Mauritshuis is beautiful. Naturally, our name ‘Pearls of the Girls’ is also inspired by the Girl with a Pearl Earring, which hangs in the Mauritshuis. It is an imposing building and you can walk straight to the Binnenhof. This should therefore absolutely not be missing on the list!”

What hotel tip do you have for tourists who come to The Hague?
“Our tip is the beautiful The Collector Hotel. It has a luxurious look and everything is right down to the last detail. Also the location is perfect. It is located in the middle of the city, yet in the quiet Haagse Bluf. We also like to come here to work for a day in the nice lobby. After a busy day at work or a day of shopping, this is the ideal place to end and plop down in the luxurious hotel beds.”Quote

What is a real beauty gem of The Hague for you?
“We have been coming to the store for years Athena in the Piet Heinstraat. Founded by a female entrepreneur who has since set up two locations. The beauty salon in the Piet Heinstraat has a beautiful conservatory where you can really relax with one of the fine treatments.”
