Jumbo Laakweg, together with the other Jumbo stores in The Hague, organized a dinner for iftar on Wednesday evening for many hundreds of fellow citizens 12 April. Local residents of all backgrounds and ages came together yesterday and experienced an unforgettable evening full of music and fun.

Iftar is the meal that is eaten during the fasting month of Ramadan immediately after sunset. A program was put together in which connection between cultures was central.

People could enjoy a specially organized three-course dinner in the Jumbo with tasty dishes such as chabakia, stuffed dates, chicken thigh with green olives and mint pancakes.

Between the dishes there were several performances by the Arabic classical band Mamoucha Orchestra. There was also a performance by theater maker Mouna Laroussi.
