Museums
You can’t start early enough with a museum visit. For example, in the
Children’s Book Museum has a lot to discover for both toddlers and primary school children. Furthermore, many parents in The Hague probably still know the Museon from their own youth. That museum now works together with Omniversum under the name One Planet. There, among other things, a film about the secrets of the sea can be seen and there is an exhibition about our world. You can go to a fashion show with two-hand clothes, participate in a cooking workshop with vegetables that are not in the supermarket or make a cup of mint tea from urine.
But museums that are not only aimed at children are also interesting for them, such as the Mauritshuis. Please note: the ‘Girl with a pearl earring’ is currently on loan, but there are additional activities during spring break. For example, children can make their own colorful work of art during a painting workshop. Good to know, children up to and including 18 years old can always visit this museum for free.
