It’s anything but bikini weather, but all the more fun to look forward to a tropical party. On May it’s time for the Beach Opening 2023 in Hook of Holland. Every year there are music festivals to celebrate the start of the season, and this year they are bigger than ever.

On Ascension Day you can kick off the beach season at various locations near Hoek van Holland. We already highlight the two largest festivals.
Royal Festival
Beachclub Royal has been the place to be for many people during the beach opening for years. For the 21th edition, the beach tent will be transformed into an underwater world, where visitors can let loose at no fewer than five different stages. “The site will be no less than twice (!) as big and we will go further onto the Hoekse beach like never before.” The line-up includes more than twenty artists, such as Donnie, Emma Heesters, Benny Rodrigues, Afro Bros, Trobi, The Darkraver, Roog, Brace, Erick E and Def Rhymz.
Royal Festival lasts from 00.00 until 21.00 hours, tickets are available from 40,21 euro via the website of the festival.
The beach season also opens at Villa on the Beach with a big bang. The line-up includes none other than Broederliefde, La Fuente, Diaz & Bruno, DJ Laurens & De Après Skihut. “This year we are going bigger than usual, including the VIP. On a raised deck, looking out over the audience to the mainstage!” Really something for the luxury cats among us.
