Hundreds of Extinction Rebellion climate activists blocked the A on Saturday in The Hague, behind the Malieveld. As a result, that section of the highway was closed for a while. Apparently the demonstrators thought it was a successful action, because another blockade is planned for March.

Saturday the highway was blocked for about seven hours and there are 768 climate activists arrested. Most were soon released again, we read at AD. The activists want the government to stop fossil subsidies.
New action
On their own Facebook page, they report activist group Extinction Rebellion that on Saturday 11 March at 00. another attempt to block the highway for hours: ‘This time with thousands of people. We demand an immediate end to the annual 01,5 billion euros fossil subsidies’.
