Friday, December 2, panic broke out in Zoetermeer. The Nelson Mandela Bridge, that yellow bridge over highway A05, was no longer safe and was immediately closed. As a result, the train station there was no longer accessible. Thursday, after 26 days of work , the bridge is open again, we read with our colleagues from AD.

Starting Thursday 26 January 19.00 hours the bridge in Zoetermeer is open again and that means that the bridge is safe again.

Do you regularly visit Zoetermeer? Then you can cycle and walk on the bridge again from Thursday evening. Furthermore, train passengers no longer have to transfer to a shuttle bus, because Zoetermeer train station can open again. The Randstadrail stop Driemanspolder and bus stop Mandelabrug can also be used again.
