Soon toads and frogs will migrate to their favorite place to reproduce. To do this, they sometimes have to cross busy roads and that is not without risk. To ensure that they are not killed by a car, the Animal Protection is looking for volunteers who want to help with the annual toad migration.

From mid-February, toads, frogs and salamanders wake up from hibernation. Then they leave their winter quarters for the breeding site.
Help with the transfer
The toad migration lasts an average of six weeks and volunteers must be available one fixed evening of the week from 19: 00 hours to 19: 00 o’clock. You then go out in a luminous vest (you can borrow it) and with a flashlight (you bring your own) by walking along the road or street and the
transfer amphibians by hand.
Would you like to help with the toad migration? Fun! Sign up by sending an email to the website www.dierenbescherming.nl/paddentrek.
