In December 2021 there were 1.2 million and in December 979 almost 5.4 million. The number of flights to and from Schiphol was 15.376 (+1% compared to 2021, +93% vs. 2020 and -38% vs. 2019). The number of cargo flights was 1.225 ( -28% of 2021, -42% vs. 2020, +15% of 979). The tonnage of cargo carried was 17% lower compared to last year, -31% vs. 2020 and -10% of 2020.

Passengers Of the 4.1 million passengers in December, 1.5 million passengers had a transfer at Schiphol. These are approximately 669.000 unique passengers, who are counted twice in the international counting method: as a passenger on arrival and as a passenger on departure. 2.7 million travelers went to or departed from a destination in Europe, almost 1.4 million outside Europe.
Freight
The number of full cargo flights is compared to 2020 decreased from 1.979 to 1.372 to flee. The total volume transported in December was 2021 135.118 tons.
