Bolt today announced that the ride-hailing service has now been integrated into Google Maps. This, according to the taxi platform, expands the transportation options in cities where Bolt’s ride-hailing service is available, which are offered through the trip planner.

Users of Google’s trip planner in Google Maps are now offered Bolt rides in the taxi services tab when they search for directions in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht. Additional information, such as the estimated cost of the trip and the vehicle categories offered, is displayed directly through the application. In addition, it is possible to see estimated pick-up times and travel times of Bolt rides.

Mission “Today we are making it is even easier to travel in and around Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht with the addition of Bolt in Google Maps”, says Lars Speekenbrink, Country Manager of Bolt Netherlands. “With the integration in Google Maps, it is possible to access the drivers of the Bolt platform and the current travel information, such as the fastest and most efficient way to arrive at your destination. Our mission has always been to make urban mobility simple, seamless and safe, and we are pleased that this integration brings us closer to achieving that goal,” concludes Speekenbrink.
