Good memories
Esther is very fond of Megastores miss: ‘So have good memories of it. I thought it was cool that it was so quiet, at least you didn’t have to wait long anywhere! And with the reopening I participated in musical chairs and won a Senseo device!’ Charita also liked coming: ‘Too bad! Liked to shop’. Gert: ‘It was always wonderfully quiet shopping there. Too bad it’s going away.’
Emile: ‘Have bought quite a few things there in the past….at Haco, Leenbakker, Kruidvat etc…but missed the cosiness…because there just few people. T should have been more of a mix of residential stores and normal stores. But that was not allowed due to competition with the city center. Unfortunately. Hope it becomes a bit affordable housing…and not for the rich. But I fear the latter.’
Sadness at its best
Besides the inhabitants of The Hague who going to miss a shopping centre, we mainly read people for whom this absolutely does not apply. Like Arjanti: ‘I won’t shed a tear for this complex, but I think it’s a waste of money! Something that is only 22 year , demolish already!’
