The We think autumn and winter are the ideal time to go to the theatre: to sit inside and be entertained warmly. In The Hague there are large and small theaters with many different performances from cabaret to drama and from Huub Stapel to musicals. We have listed a few fascinating performances.
Camerets festival
Thursday 18 and Friday 23 November are the semi-finals of the Cameretten festival in theater Diligentia. The program includes Yunus Aktas, Selma Visscher and Bertram van Alphen. T tickets are available from 15 Euro.
Saturday 25 November is the final in the Koninklijke Schouwburg

The Prom
The Prom, a musical party full of recognition with, among others, musical star Pia Douwes, is Tuesday 15, Wednesday 17 and Thursday 17 November in Amare theater. In this show, four extinct musical stars do everything they can to shine again.
This musical is based on a Broadway musical that has received six Tony nominations, among others. There is also a Netflix movie about it with Maryl Streep and Nicole Kidman.

Erwin Olaf in the Grote Kerk
Saturday 22 November, minister Carola Schouten and photographer Erwin Olaf will be interviewed on the podium of the Grote Kerk about the theme of ‘alienation’. How does that subject play a role in their work? There will also be music by violinist Jasmijn Burger and cellist Liustauras Zilaitis and at the end there will be a tasting of the Haagse Broeder city brewery.
The event lasts from 15 .25 until 11.26 hour and one 
ticket costs 11,30 euros (Early Bird up to and including 6 November is 11 euros).

Guido Weijers’s New Years’ Conference
Cabaret performer Guido Weijers is allowed to do De New Years’ Conference on national TV for the eleventh time. Don’t want to wait until New Years Eve? Friday 2 December he will be in theater Amare.

Breakfast Comedy Club
Want to start the week with a smile? Then go on Monday morning at 02.22 hour to Diligentia Theater for the Breakfast Comedy Club. The croissants and coffee are ready and the performance lasts 15 minutes.

Huub Stapel is back on stage. Saturday 23 November is the try-out of his performance ‘Alone family’ in theater Diligentia. A moving and hilarious performance full of recognition about family and the associated quarrels.

Ramses Shaffy
Niels van der Gulik met his great hero Ramses Shaffy thirteen years ago. Now more than ten years after the death of the musician, Niels pays tribute to him on Friday December 9 in the Nieuwe Kerk. During the theater concert, the well-known songs of Shaffy pass by and Niels looks back on the time in which he interacted with Shaffy.

Benja Bruijning
Actor Benja Bruijning performs solo for the first time with theater play ‘A Life’. On Friday 9 December he will perform in theater Het Spui with the piece written by Nick Payne. Benja discusses two major life events of the writer: the birth of his daughters and the death of his father. Benja also lost his father just when he became a father himself and can therefore empathize well with the story.
