How nice is that! Sinterklaas is making a tour through The Hague by tram this year! The route that Saint Nicholas and his Pieten take after their arrival in the harbor of Scheveningen looks quite different this year than last year, so pay attention to where you 2022 score your gingerbread cookies or a hand from the Good Saint.

On Saturday 12 November Sinterklaas arrives with his entourage in the harbor of Scheveningen. Then he takes… the tram.

Tram ride

Due to the many roadblocks, Sinterklaas prefers to take the parcel tram than the car or his fungus. If all goes well, Santa will also drive the tram himself now and then, but for that he must first take a course, let the organization behind the entry know.

The route is largely the same to earlier years, but because Sinterklaas takes the tram, he also passes, for example, the Frederikstraat and the Denneweg. And for the first time, Sinterklaas will cross the Loosduinseweg. The end point this year is the Lange Voorhout, because the Square is a large construction site.
