A tasty pastry is never a bad idea, which is why we immediately stopped during our walking tour when we blessed the newest culinary addition of the Venestraat: Madame Cocos.

Coconut balls with flavors of lemon, red velvet, dark and white chocolate, or just plain; since a week or two you can find them at Madame Cocos.

Whether you want a tasty snack, a cookie or pastry, it doesn’t matter. Almost everyone likes the dish made from coconut dough and a small shop has recently opened on the Venestraat that sells it in the city center of The Hague.

On Venestraat 3, where until recently 8tea5 was located you will find now coconut balls out of the oven. A coconut ball costs 1, euro per piece, but with you have a nice appetite for it 12 euros. They also sell buckets with coconut dough to make the delicacy in their own kitchen. Yummie!
