Every year, five million people drink a lot of liters of beer during Oktoberfest in Munich. Do you think that’s a little too busy? Then you can also just celebrate the German folk festival in The Hague, the beer tastes just as good here and maybe even better.

The Grote Markt in The Hague will change into a large covered Biergarten at the end of this week. Friday 30 September and Saturday October 1, Oktoberfest is celebrated there.

Oktoberfest in The Hague

A lot of beer is being served this weekend and of course big sausages pass by on the Grote Markt and you can we hossen schlager music. Outside at De Boterwaag there are large beer tables to party quietly and in De Boterwaag the real die-hards can go wild on the dance floor with mugs of beer.

Entrance to the Oktoberfest costs 30 euros and tickets are only available at the door. But you can also enter for free. If you dress in style; so in dirndl or lederhosen, entry is completely free.
