From Monday 17 September to Sunday 2 October there will be maintenance work on the Zwanenburgbaan . The runway is not available for air traffic during runway maintenance. During this period, the Buitenveldertbaan can be used more as a second runway. The Schiphol-Oostbaan can also be used more often as a second runway. A small part of the flights will be moved to the Kaagbaan. At runways regular maintenance is carried out annually, so that they are and remain in good condition. Restorative work on the asphalt and markings is being carried out on the Zwanenburgbaan. The cabling and electricity are checked, lamps are cleaned or replaced and surrounding lawns are mowed. The rainwater drainage system is checked, flushed and repaired where necessary. In addition, preparatory work for the major maintenance planned in 2023, such as preliminary investigations and measurements, will be carried out. The work will be carried out in collaboration with Heijmans.
