Negotiations about a new collective labor agreement for Healthcare Transport and Taxi are still going smoothly. After two extra talks, the trade unions and employers made little progress.

According to FNV negotiator Meindert Gorter, the most important thing is that employees receive a fair wage for the work they have performed. “So not that minutes and hours are suddenly deleted. That if you wait five minutes at a traffic light, you don’t get paid for it. If a taxi driver has to wait ten minutes for a customer, we just want him to be paid.”

In addition, according to the union, it is important that the base salary is increased when you start working. to fourteen euros. “That amount is now about twelve euros,” explains Gorter. “If you start at fourteen euros, the entire wage structure goes up. And that is necessary, given the current inflation. However, the employers only want to delete the bottom rungs of the wage structure.”

Extra interviews In June, FNV already conducted three conversations with employers. During these rounds of talks, the two parties did not come closer to each other. Two additional talks have now taken place, but a possible agreement still seems a long way off. “Actually, these two conversations were about nothing,” explains Meindert Gorter.

“The last time both parties spoke to each other, it was more about a study that employers like to carry out. be seen. Much more time was spent on this than on the negotiations for an improved collective labor agreement. In fact, in all rounds of discussions, it was only once about all the requirements of FNV and CNV.”

Op 23 In September, negotiations between the trade unions and employers about a new collective labor agreement for Healthcare Transport and Taxi will resume.
