During the holiday period and at weekends there is plenty to do in The Hague. But there are times when you want to get out of the city for a fun day out. If you do want an outing, but don’t want to be on the road for hours, we have listed a number of nice outings about half an hour’s drive from The Hague:
Avifauna
Avifauna in Alphen aan den Rijn is our top tip. This bird park is half an hour’s drive from The Hague. But don’t let that title fool you, because it is so much more than a park with birds. You will find several prosimians here in a part of the park that you can walk through (only on your food), there is a very large playground for the kids and don’t forget the bird show, because (almost) all the cages of the animals are opened for that.
