Willemsen-de Koning may provide WMO, student and youth transport for four years in Elburg, Ermelo, Harderwijk, Nunspeet, Oldebroek and Zeewolde, as well as student and youth transport in the latter municipality. This is done under the banner of Viavé. The contract will commence on 1 January 2022 and has been awarded for four years. Three one-year extensions are possible.

Alderman Henk Wessel of the municipality of Ermelo indicates that the relevant steering committee is very satisfied with the tender. “We are very much looking forward to a good collaboration in which the new carrier puts the customer first. We believe that with this party we can offer all residents of the seven municipalities a good transport provider.”

Willemsen-de Koning is the winner of the European tender to which a number of transport companies have registered. The quality of the service offered by the transport companies, including communication with the passenger, is an important part of the award. The assignment means that the current social assistance, student and youth transport will remain unchanged this whole year.

Tender for gym/swimming transport The gym/swimming transport for the municipalities of Elburg, Ermelo, Harderwijk, Nunspeet, Putten and Zeewolde has also been tendered again. The coach companies will remain the same for almost all Noord-Veluwe municipalities, with the exception of Elburg and Zeewolde. In Elburg, as of January 1 2022 De Vier Gewesten/VTS Tours will operate the transport. In Zeewolde, Gebo Tours will pick up this transport with effect from the school year 2022-2024.
