Sunday, December 1, it’s exactly 20 years ago that the Museon (now OnePlanet) in The Hague was broken into at night. At that time the exhibition ‘Diamond, from rough stone to jewel’ was set up there, where many precious jewelry and expensive diamonds were on display.

In the middle of the night of December 1 to 2 2019 3 thieves smashed a window at the back of the museum and took jewelery and diamonds worth 6 million euros. In total 20 objects were stolen from the treasury, where the thieves six of the 37 smashed into display cases.
