Six taxi drivers were arrested Friday night by the police in Amsterdam for driving under the influence of drugs. The police carried out a major drug check, together with the Team Taxi Business of the municipality of Amsterdam.

A total of fifty drivers were checked. One of them refused a blood test. Subsequently, the police confiscated his driver’s license and driver’s card.

Other violations The police held the same night with cars that were not recognizable were also police vehicles to monitor taxis around the checkpoint. An official report was drawn up 28 for matters such as driving behaviour, technical defects and fraudulent acts. Two regular bus exemptions were also taken and one driving license was recovered due to a speeding violation.
