Schiphol started a trial last week with extra screens in the terminal that indicate the current waiting time until security check. The screens are part of Schiphols Summer Action Plan 10000, in which one of the actions is to improve passenger information.
These screens are initially in Departures Hall 1 and will soon be placed in other places in the terminal. These signs are an addition to the regular screens near the security check, where Schiphol already informed its travelers about the current waiting time. Thanks to the new screens, travelers in a longer queue can also see the current waiting time.
† Not knowing how long you will be in line and the fear of missing your flight are some of the most annoying insecurities you have as a traveler on a airport. Understandably, they are also the most frequently asked questions. With these screens we want to offer travelers more certainty when they will stand in line.
