With the Amsterdam Resistance Museum (Verzetsmuseum) closed for renovations, the museum has found another way to keep Dutch history alive and, from May 15, will be offering tours through the streets of the Dutch capital on a 90-year-old Resistance Tram.

Explore the history of Amsterdam with this unique tour

The Verzetstram guided tour starts outside the museum in Amsterdam East and follows an hour-long route through the city that will pass by a number of locations that played a vital role in the occupation of Amsterdam and the persecution of Jews during the Second World War.

The tour guide will provide passengers with information about the extraordinary 90-year-old tram, as well as the Hollandsche Schouwburg, Muiderpoort station, the roundup on Waterlooplein, the February strike, and much more!

Tickets cost 24,50 euros, with tours running every Sunday from March 15.
