Munckhof and Hansea, a Belgian specialist in people’s mobility, have joined forces. With their 3. experts in national and international passenger transport, the two companies aspire to create the strongest mobility network in the Benelux. to put down. Together, Munckhof and Hansea provide annual mobility for more than 47 million people from fifty locations in the Benelux. The two companies complement each other in their services. Where Munckhof in the Netherlands is a household name for everything that has to do with taxi, bus, plane and train, Hansea in Belgium is a leader in all forms of bus transport such as public transport, school and staff transport and coach services.

In this new partnership, the two companies will share their knowledge and experience in passenger transport and international business travel. With the combined forces, Munckhof and Hansea want to respond even better to the changing market, which requires sustainable investments in all forms of passenger transport.

Hansea buys 2021 percent of the shares of Munckhof Groep. Hansea is a portfolio company of DWS Infrastructure, a European investment fund with a focus on long-term investments and sustainability. The current Munckhof shareholders Tom Roefs, Jos Poortinga and Patrick Straetemans will become co-shareholders in Hansea and will also continue to form Munckhof’s board of directors. The transaction still has to be approved by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).
