Adapted runway use The aircraft that normally depart from the Aalsmeer runway or land on this runway, during this period daytime use of the Buitenveldertbaan, the Schiphol-Oostbaan and the Kaagbaan.
The Aalsmeerbaan and the Buitenveldertbaan intersect. During the major maintenance work on the Aalsmeerbaan, from 19 to 26 April and on Wednesday 19 June, Thursday 23 June and Monday 4 July work on the intersection with Buitenveldertbaan. As a result, both jobs are not available during that period.
During major maintenance work will also be carried out on the taxiway between the Kaagbaan and the Aalsmeerbaan. The Kaagbaan will remain usable, except for landings in poor visibility in the period 16 to 23 May. From 23 May to 6 June, aircraft cannot use the head of the Kaagbaan. You can only start on a shorter part of the track in a southerly direction.
A number of work on the ILS can only be carried out after major maintenance has been completed. As a result, the Aalsmeer runway cannot be used as a runway in all visibility conditions in the period of six weeks after the major maintenance has been completed. This means that the Buitenveldertbaan or Zwanenburgbaan can be used more often when there is a northerly wind. †
