Goldband and MEAU were the big winners of the 3FM Awards on Thursday evening. Both Dutch acts knew during the award ceremony, in 013 Poppodium in Tilburg, two of their three nominations to be cashed in. Also Froukje, S, Bazart and Kensington were awarded.

The Hague trio Goldband took the prize for Best Group home, leaving De Staat, Chef’Special, Son Mieux and Kensington behind. For the record Affordable Romance the group was awarded the prize for Best Album.
Goldband also had a chance to win the prize for Best Song, but it went with MEAU to Utrecht. She got it for her monster hit That Have You Done
. The 21-year-old singer also won the 3FM Talent Award.
Froukje was named Best Artist. S, who on behalf of the Netherlands to enters the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, won the Best Collaboration category for the song Onderweg
. She made that with the Belgian indie pop group Bazart.
The second Legend Award ever went to Kensington. The band around frontman Eloi Youssef received the prize for his special contribution to the music industry. The group closed the evening in with his greatest hits.
The annual audience awards of radio station NPO 3FM were awarded in the presence of a live audience for the first time in two years. The evening in Tilburg was presented by 3FM DJs Eva Koreman and Frank van der Lende.
