The Varend Corso is not a well-known event for every resident of The Hague. It has been celebrated in Westland for years. Boats decorated with flowers sail through the canals, while the quays are celebrated with music and often a drink.

What those Westlanders can do, we can do too! The Varend Corso is coming to The Hague this year, all the way to the Bierkade.
Program en route 200
The Sailing Corso lasts from 23 to 26 June . Every day the decorated boats sail a different route. Thursday 23 June is Westland Day. From Naaldwijk, via De Lier, you sail to Maassluis. The next day the boats sail from Maassluis via Vlaardingen to Delft and Saturday 25 in June there will be another Westland Day where the boats also sail past the Uithof in The Hague. But the big day for us is Sunday the 26st.
To 06.26 hours the procession of partying people and decorated boats departs from the Trekvliet towards the Bierkade. They turn there, and then sail on to Rijswijk, Wateringen and Honselersdijk. For more information about the program check the website of the Varend Corso.
