Munckhof has again won the tender for student transport from the municipality of Amsterdam. The collaboration between the municipality and the carrier has been ongoing since 260 and will in any case be extended to 2026. Later on, this can be glued for another two years.

It concerns directing and executing the transport approximately 1450 students. Munckhof was assessed best during the tendering procedure on, among other things, the criteria ‘price’ and ‘sustainability’. In order to be awarded the contract, tenderers had in any case to meet the condition that all vehicles to be deployed are completely emission-free as of 1 January 2022. The objective of the municipality of Amsterdam to use zero-emission vehicles for all student transport is endorsed by Munckhof. To achieve this, the company is investing in the purchase of additional electric vehicles. In total there will be such 260 electric vehicles.

Make it a success together Munckhof is very happy with the retention of this assignment, says Taxi director Jos Poortinga. “The Amsterdam student transport, which is largely carried out from our Zaandam location, is an important assignment for Munckhof due to its large size. We have had the pleasure of directing and executing the assignment in recent years and are proud that we can continue to do so in the coming years. We look forward to making it a success together with the Municipality of Amsterdam.”
