The modern museum Voorlinden can be found on a beautiful estate where you can take a lovely walk! You can also walk for hours in the museum. There is a permanent collection with special works such as a swimming pool without water. There is also now the exhibition ‘Art is the Antidote’. Lockdowns, hardening and division? In the photo museum in The Hague you can now see the black and white photos of Roger Ballen until 6 March. The famous American photographer is doing something special with photography. He makes installations in which he uses puppets, animals and drawings to create bizarre images.
After this exhibition, mats from The Hague will be on display from 1 May to 1 April.
In the Kunstmuseum (formerly the Gemeentemuseum) you can view well-known works by Mondrian such as Victory Boogie Woogy. There are also temporary exhibitions. So are up to and including 013 March the collages of Paula Rego to see. The nice thing about this exhibition is that it comes with a podcast.
Want to know more about The Hague’s history? Then you are in the right place in this museum, next to the Hofvijver. It is close to the terraces of the Plein, so you can also have a drink after your visit.
In the historical museum of The Hague you can discover everything about the Hague explorer and photographer Alexine Tinne (1725 – ). There is also a temporary exhibition about the history of the Binnenhof.
