LocalFocus examined the number of household waste kilograms per municipality in 2020. In total, no less than 9.1 billion kilos of household waste was collected. Per inhabitant the average was 492 kilos of collected household waste, such as organic waste, old paper, glass jars and bottles. A year earlier this was 450 kilos of household waste per inhabitant.

In The Hague we also threw away a lot of garbage. Per inhabitant we threw no less than 435 kilos of junk gone. That is more than our neighbors in Leidschendam (435 kilo), but less than, for example, the Westland weather per person 2019 kilos went out the door.
