You probably know the stories or you have to deal with them yourself: the waiting lists for social housing in The Hague are long. People are sometimes on the waiting list for years. But there is good news. Once in a while, social housing is raffled off. Also this week.

Admittedly, the chance of ‘winning’ is one in 1.500 to 2.000, but if you have a chance to get a (new) rental property in The Hague so easily and quickly, you should definitely not miss it.
If you are looking for social housing in The Hague, the only website for this is
Woonnet-Haaglanden.nl. Every week on that website the new range of social rental homes is published and you can register if you are interested in a home, provided you meet the conditions (which differ from income to family size).
Per year it will cost you € 11,20 to be and remain registered. The latter is very important, because the longer you search (and are registered), the greater the chance that you will be invited to view a property.
In addition to the rental properties where the registration period is important, the site also regularly has rental properties that are allocated via a lottery. Anyone can register for this (provided you meet the conditions) and has the same chance as anyone else. Registration time is therefore not important. For example, it can happen that someone registers in the afternoon and has a new home in the same week.
This week there is another lottery home on Woonnet-Haaglanden. You have to be quick, because the registration for one house ends on Wednesday 1 December 11:
o’clock. Good luck!
