The municipality is carrying out work on the Binckhorstbrug. Trucks and buses are therefore no longer allowed to drive over this bridge in the Binckhorst area. The maximum speed limit for cars at this spot will be reduced from 50 to 30 kilometres per hour. These measures will remain in effect at least until the bridge is fixed up.
The municipality has already started making preparations to fix up the bridge. It will be clear in 2022 when this will take place.
Part of the 85-year-old Binckhorstbrug is in poor condition according to a technical inspection. The municipality needs to take measures for the traffic for safety reasons.
