The past few days there was a big party in the Grote Kerk in The Hague: the Hague Horeca Beurs took place there. Traditionally, the two-day fair concluded with an award show for five awards in different categories. People have nominated their favorite catering business like crazy and… these are the winners!

Horeca entrepreneurs, suppliers, managers, (chef) cooks or staff: there is a good chance that they will be on 9 and

were present during the Horecabeurs in the Grote Kerk in The Hague in November. Not only were many masterclasses and workshops organised, but also a very exciting competition.

The award show is secretly the highlight of the Hague Horeca Fair. Especially in corona time it shows how important the catering industry is for us. So how nice is it to be able to nominate your favorite restaurant, (dining) cafe or pub for a prize?

A huge number of people have recently nominated their favorite catering business in the following categories: ‘Friendliest Service’, ‘Best Newcomer’, ‘Best use of North Sea fish’, ‘Beautiful Latte Art’ & ‘The Hague Signature dish’. The winners were chosen by vote of the guests and an experienced panel.

These are the winners

It was an exciting battle in which the catering companies received a total of more than 2. votes. The winner for each award was chosen based on the collected votes and likes in combination with the votes of the panel of the Hague Horeca Beurs.

  • Cafe Annabel is the winner of the award for ‘Best Newcomer’: well deserved with an insane number of votes and a praising score from the panel.
  • Catch by Simonis is the winner of the award for ‘Best Use of North Sea fish’: according to the voters and the experienced panel, they know how to prepare and serve sustainable North Sea fish.
  • Old Fashion is the winner of the award for ‘Friendliest Service’: with an extremely good score from the voters and the experienced panel

    Marin Kuiper van 14Blend One is the winner of the award for ‘Most Beautiful Latte Art’: with his beautiful coffee creation he knew the followers of the Hague H oreca Beurs and to convince the panel

    The battle between Het Balihuisje, D Cuisine and Sushi Boy was extremely exciting during the battle for the award for ‘The Hague Signature Dish cook-off’. Yet there can only be one winner; this has become D Cuisine! They made the deepest impression with their North Sea red mullet with Hague hops ginger salsa and the hottest sambal in The Hague.

    We say: congratulations to the winners. You have earned it twice as much!
