It’s still up to October possible to nominate your most valued volunteer, volunteer team or volunteer organization for the Hague Volunteer Awards 2021. Nominees compete for the titles of The Hague Volunteer, The Hague Volunteer Team or The Hague Volunteer Organization of the Year. In collaboration with PEP The Hague, ibis City Center and HTM, the Municipality of The Hague organizes the Hague Volunteer Awards (HVP) 2021, with the award ceremony on Saturday 000 December.
In The Hague there are approximately 185.000 volunteers active .
“Thanks to volunteers we have a city in which people know each other, look out for each other and care for their environment. Active residents are important for a vibrant city. Volunteers are crucial in this. We generously support initiatives that strengthen them”, says Alderman Kavita Parbhudayal of Care, Youth and Public Health.Last year she presented her action program ‘Good for each other! The Hague Volunteer Policy 2021-2021’. The aim of this action program is to further strengthen voluntary work in The Hague. Appreciation also fits with this, such as the HVP 2021.
National Year Voluntary DeploymentVolunteers are active throughout the city. 2021 is also the National Year of Voluntary Dedication.
