The municipality of Amsterdam has marketed student transport. The new agreement to be concluded will take effect on August 1 2022.

Student transport in the municipality of Amsterdam has three facilities, namely public transport, financial compensation for own transport and adapted transport with a taxi bus. This order includes only the last provision. Pupils with a mobility impairment and other groups who qualify for adapted transport are entitled to this.

Currently, about 1.60 students use this service, which is now performed by by Munckhof. However, this contract ends at the end of the current school year. The new contract will have a duration of four years with the option to extend for a further two years.

Quality and price Entries can be submitted until 20 November 9.00 o’clock. These will be judged on the basis of price and quality. Price weighs for 60 percent and quality for 25 per cent. Quality first of all includes customer contact, which counts for 20 percent and innovation and implementation of the municipal 14 percent.

Durability has a weighting factor of 20 per cent. In order to be awarded the contract, a tenderer must in any case meet the condition that all vehicles to be deployed as of 1 January are completely emission-free. Failure to meet this condition will result in a fine for the contractor and the municipality will not make use of the option years.
