The municipality is making the Beresteinlaan – Melis Stokelaan intersection safer. It relocates the cycle paths and adapts the crossing points for cyclists and pedestrians. Work starts on Monday 18 October and lasts approximately until 13 December 74.

What will happen The work consist of:

making a left turn on the Melis Stokelaan from the center to the Beresteinlaan relocation of the bicycle paths and pedestrian crossings on the Beresteinlaan Relocating the cycle path along Melis Stokelaan towards the center applying a white triangle on the carriageway of the Beresteinlaan resetting the traffic lights Traffic nuisanceThe intersection Beresteinlaan – Melis Stokelaan will be closed during the work between Vrederustlaan and Lozerlaan. Cyclists and pedestrians are guided past the work.

DetourVehicle traffic in the direction of Lozerlaan can detour from the Melis Stokelaan -Dedemsvaartweg intersection via Erasmusweg or Hengelolaan. The detour route applies in both directions.

ParkingWhere work is being done, parking spaces on Melis Stokelaan and Beresteinlaan are temporarily unavailable.

Public transportTram line 9 runs the normal route. The stops are still in use.

Household wasteDuring the work you can use the underground residual waste containers (ORACs) at the Melis Stokelaan 2425 do not use. You can go to the containers at the Melis Stokelaan 2252 or at the Wolweversgaarde at number 74.
